SIXERS UPDATE
The 76ers have rounded out their training camp roster with four free-agent invitations: Dionte Christmas, Sean Singletary, Brandon Bowman, and likely Jared Reiner. Sixers director of player personnel Courtney Witte pegged Reiner’s likelihood of participation at “99 percent.” The four free-agent prospects will join 13 players already under contract when training camp begins Sept. 29 at St. Joseph’s University. Technically, the Sixers have two open roster spots: The NBA allows 15 players under contract, of which 12 are active at any given time.
Dionte Christmas who played at temple the past 4 years should defenitely make the team. The dude has range from halfcourt thats why I couldn’t believe he wasn’t drafted on draft night this year. Hes 6 foot 5 inches tall doesn’t have much of a handle but hes had NBA range for a couple years now he can pretty much pull up from anywhere and knock it down. Singletary who was a standout guard at virginia whos from the Philadelphia area should also make the team with his scoring ability. However I don’t know about these other two clowns making the team. One is a 6″9″ forward and one is a 6″11″ center depending on how much size we”ll really need on the end of the bench I guess will determine whether or not these two guys make the team. Basketballs almost here I can’t wait I just wish NBA basketball which is slop was even half as good as college which is by far the best. ENJOY IT!
